  1. I have been asked to add this comment:

"Still, after 2,3,4,5 years of protesting (I lose count), so far as I can see, the whole area only has a named doctor for a couple of days a week. The rest of the time, we have locums. And - so far as I know - the named doctor does not come to Kilchoan. I mean absolutely no disrespect to Dr Weir, the current locum. I have not met her, but many people tell me that she is really good and extremely pleasant, as well.

"It might also be useful to note that we will now only get a visit from a nurse once a week. And - with all due respect to very professional and kindly, gentle, caring Nurse Carolyn - that might well be some random member of the widely-spread community nursing team. Not someone who we know and trust.

"Remember all the promises that were made by NHS people and by Ms Sturgeon? The sad truth is that we can't muster enough votes here for anyone to bother about us. Yet, at the same time, the Acharacle Practice website claims to be providing us with a 'slicker service'."
